Forest School in the Mud !
We’ve had a couple of rather damp weeks at forest school, which means … lots of glorious mud! Last week, it was so windy that it wasn’t safe to go to our usual site so we took the opportunity to explore using mud as paint. We loved making lots of very muddy pictures and experimenting with different tools to apply the paint. We used leaves, feathers, twigs and paint brushes.
This week we were back in the woods and making winter treats for the animals who share their woods with us. We loved making pine-cone bird feeders and leaving them in the trees as an early Christmas present. We also enjoyed keeping warm by the campfire and toasting marshmallows, pineapple and bananas. They were delicious!
