School Sport and PE Premium Grant
PE and School Sport
What is the Primary PE and Sport Fund?
Each year for the academic years 2013-16 the government is providing funding of £150 million to provide new and substantial primary school sport funding. This is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport.
The money goes directly to schools for the development and improvement of PE and sport provision and encourage the development of life long healthy living. The funding is calculated according to the intake of the school. The school then decides how best to use the money to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, encouraging all pupils to develop an interest in and enjoyment of active healthy lifestyles and have the opportunity to develop their personal best performance levels.
At Armathwaite School we consult the most important people ~ our children!
Through our student voice assemblies we have audited the PE and school sport provision in school and made action plans detailing what we will do to develop and improve it. Consulting all our students and our staff team means tha t everyone is involved in all decisions made.
Below are details of how we have decided to use our PE and school sport funding, why we made these decisions (what outcomes we planned to achieve) and our evaluations and impact reviews which monitor how effective our use of the fund has been and continues to be.
